What is HueHunt?

Every day, a new color gets picked. Your job is to go find something in the real world that matches it, as you see it. Snap a photo, submit it, and see how everyone else interpreted the same color. You won't see anyone else's until you post your own though!

Gamifying Exploration and Appreciation

Most of us move through the world without really looking at it. HueHunt is built around the idea that a small, specific challenge is all it takes to change that. When you're hunting for a color, everything becomes worth a second glance. The warm terracotta of a brick wall, the grey-green of peeling bench paint, the way afternoon light completely changes a color you thought you knew. It's a small shift in attention, but it adds up.

The gallery is locked until you submit your own photo, so your take on the color stays uninfluenced.
